The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema announced their partnership with the Honor Flight Network along with a special screening of FURY on October 18th in Austin, Texas.

“We have three great World War II films coming out this fall – FURY, THE IMITATION GAME, and UNBROKEN. We want to use this opportunity to honor WWII veterans in our local communities. The Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas family has grown to 19 theaters in 6 states. We are excited to involve all of our locations in our first national giving effort,” – Amy Averett, Director of Alamo Drafthouse Private and Community Events.

You are invited to a special showing of FURY on October 18th, 2014 at 4:30PM at 1120 South Lamar, Austin TX 78704. Our local WWII Veterans will be in attendance!

Purchase your tickets HERE, and invite a friend! All net proceeds from these ticket sales will be donated to the Honor Flight Austin.

On a National level, you can honor and support your local WWII veterans. When you see FURY, THE IMITATION GAME, and UNBROKEN at the Alamo Drafthouse you will be invited to give an additional $1 as part of the ticket purchase to support the Honor Flight Network. Funds raised in each Alamo community will be donated to the local Honor Flight hub.

We, at Honor Flight Austin, are humbled by the sincere appreciation Tim Teague, Amy Averett and all those at Alamo Drafthouse have shown to The Greatest Generation.

We also want to extend our gratitude toward Jack Crawford, with the City of Austin Veterans Program, for his tireless efforts to honor our most senior Veterans.

Thank you to all those sharing the news and we look forward to seeing you on Oct 18th!
